DESCRIPTION:The 5th Annual Research Day of the Center for Bioinformatics and Quantitative Biology (CBQB) at UIC will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Thompson Room ABC in Student Center West. This year?s event will be held as a memorial symposium in honor Dr. Jie Liang, the founding Director of CBQB who passed away in December 2024 (In Memoriam: Long time faculty remembered for big smile, CBQB, passion).    To celebrate Dr. Liang?s profound impact on science and education, we are inviting his collaborators and colleagues to speak at this memorial symposium to share their research and memories about Dr. Liang.    We invite you to join us in honoring his life, legacy, and achievements he made to our scientific community.
