Statistics in Pharmaceutical Science

Abstract:

In the pharmaceutical field, statistical research/analysis is a major key to drug application and approval. This presentation addresses two quantitative aspects of for pharmaceutical science. In Part 1, we introduce a few applications in mathematics to pharmacology, including characterizing the drug concentration and dose selection. In Part 2, we demonstrate the utility of statistics in pharmaceutical science, because there are the differences from individual to individual, from one occasion to another, and among treatment conditions. Measures of location and dispersion to describe the data are reviewed. Topics in pharmaceutical statistics will also be addressed.
