From Blueprint to Blood: Gene Regulation in hematopoiesis through Functional Genomics and Computational Modeling

Abstract:

I will present our research focused on understanding the roles of noncoding regulatory DNA sequences within the context of hematopoiesis. Specifically, we utilize high-throughput functional genomic technologies, computational modeling, and rigorous experimental validation to examine how enhancers, insulators, and silencers influence gene expression. Our aim is to identify and elucidate functional noncoding variants that play pivotal roles in controlling both disease-related and healthy traits.
